Old Testament
Psalms 117
World English Bible
Overview
Psalm 117 is the shortest psalm and the shortest chapter in the Bible, a two-verse hymn calling all nations and peoples to praise the LORD. Its reason for praise is concise and complete: great is His steadfast love toward us, and His faithfulness endures forever. In a handful of words it gathers the whole world into worship of Israel's God.
1Praise Yahweh, all you nations! Extol him, all you peoples!
2For his loving kindness is great toward us. Yahweh’s faithfulness endures forever. Praise Yah!
